Documents Needed to Register

  • The Poughkeepsie City School District registers all students at the Central Registration Office located in the front lobby of the Poughkeepsie Middle School at 55 College Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. To register your child or children, please bring the following items with you, as we cannot process your registration without these documents. Please be advised that your building principal will provide you with information about student placement. If class sizes in certain neighborhood schools reach maximum numbers, your child may have to attend another elementary school outside your attendance area.

    Required documentation to present when registering

    1. Proof of Identity for the parent/guardian

    2. Proof of Custody for the student (if appropriate)

    3. Proof of Vaccination for the student

    4. Proof of Birth for the student

    5. Proof of Residency for the parent(s)/guardian(s)
