National Night out is a free event for kids in the area, where they try to bring the fun to our own neighborhood. They are closing off City hall block- between the arterial and Mansion Street and using that whole area for: touch-a-truck (police cars, motorcycles, ambulance, fire trucks and a school bus,) a petting zoo, bouncy house, free food and snacks. We have hundreds of books to give away to promote literacy (Beekman Library collects all year for this event.) They have over 75 vendors/community partners attending with various activities, games, booths, giveaways etc We have K9 demonstrations, a DJ, face painting, henna tattoos, balloon animals and more!
