Halloween on the Hill
Pumpkin painting, spooky stories, crafts, games, costumes, and trunk-or-treating make for a fun afternoon for the whole family. The Poughkeepsie Public Library District, in collaboration with the City of Poughkeepsie and Mass Design presents Halloween on the Hill on Saturday, October 30, from 1 to 4 pm at College Hill Park! Kids are invited to paint a pumpkin and pick up a take-home pumpkin craft. While the painted pumpkins are drying, children and adults alike will be entertained by Master Storyteller Jonathan Kruk, from 2 pm to 3 pm, with an exciting program of Halloween stories. Youngsters will sit on the floor of the pavilion; adults are welcome to bring their own chairs. Costumes are encouraged! Old-fashioned outdoor relay games are planned along with many decorated vehicle trunks offering treats.
