The Poughkeepsie Public Schools Foundation was created to enrich the experience of every student by providing an additional funding source for equipment, programs, and projects that are not in the school budget. The Foundation is able to provide a direct link between individuals wishing to make a difference and the students of the Poughkeepsie City Schools.
The mission of the Foundation is To enrich the educational opportunities for the children of the Poughkeepsie City School District through the support and involvement of the larger community.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees made up of parents, teachers, alumnae/I, and community leaders. The Foundation is an authorized Charitable Fund of the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley and is seeking its own 501(C)3 status.
