The Parent Empowerment Center (PEC) serves as a welcoming resource for parents and caregivers seeking assistance with navigating the school district, learning effective strategies to support their child’s education, and discovering various opportunities to strengthen family connections. When parents and caregivers visit, they will be greeted in a warm, inviting atmosphere where they can collaborate, access resources, and participate in educational workshops. A Parent Empowerment Center Liaison will be on hand to offer help with a wide range of services and resources.
Additionally, the Parent Empowerment Center is available to all residents of the Poughkeepsie City School District. We provide several free services, including a food pantry, access to computers and printers, and books, all available five days a week.
