  • New York State Education Law § 2-d

    New York State Education Law § 2-d provides guidance on protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from unauthorized release or potential access through a breach.  Included in Education Law § 2-d are specific requirements providing transparency to support and planning, including the requirement of each educational agency of publishing its Data Privacy and Security Policy on its website. 

    Poughkeepsie City School district is committed to ensuring appropriate policies, practices, and oversight is in place to ensure data is protected with privacy and security provided in full compliance with Education Law § 2-d.   Privacy regulations are strictly followed.
