Poughkeepsie City School District

Beginning with Poughkeepsie High School’s cafeteria in fall 2024, the district began an initiative to remodel each cafeteria in its school buildings. The projects have varying scopes, with kitchen upgrades included in several of them, in addition to new decorations and tables bearing school logos. In the case of the high school, the senior lounge was also remodeled.

The most recent school to receive the treatment was Truth Elementary in January 2026, with Clinton the next school slated to see its cafeteria remodeled.

In Spring 2024 the Poughkeepsie City School District installed new playground equipment at each of its elementary buildings.
