The Division of Instruction led by Ms. Jessica Turner, Assistant Superintendent of Schools, is responsible for instruction in the areas of ELA, social studies, math, science, art, health and music; pre-kindergarten; multilingual education; K-12 college and career readiness; career and technical education; extended learning programs and extracurriculars; academic intervention services;  library services; instructional technology; SIG and Title programming; professional learning and teacher and leader support; data assessment, accountability and state reporting; school counseling; social emotional learning; physical education and athletics; school nursing; multi-tiered sytems of support; and adult education. Turner also oversees the Executive Director of School Engagement responsible for the Community Schools department; community and family engagement; student registration and enrollment; attendance, home schooling, homeless education, special education and related services, in and out of district placements, student discipline, and safety and security.
