Board sets Workshop meeting topics
Presentation topics for each of the 2024-25 Board of Education Workshop meetings have been released.
Always the second meeting of the month, Workshop meetings are convened for the sole purpose of informal discussion on topics and the Board does not engage in any voting. Workshops allow the board to focus on topics of interest and the public to provide input.
"Increasing communication and encouraging more participation at BOE meetings is a major goal of the Board this year", shared Dr. Eric Jay Rosser, superintendent of schools. "By announcing the presentation topics for each of the workshop meetings, we hope to provide greater opportunity for parents and other school community members to better plan for their participation based on interest they may have in the various topics."
For the 2024-25 school year, the following topics are planned to be Workshop Presentations:
- Finance and Budget
- Strong Schools Equal Strong Communities Capital Improvement Projects
- High Needs Student Supports
- 3-8 State Testing Data Results
