If families are looking for things to do over spring recess, the Poughkeepsie Public Library District has passes that provide free or reduced admission to 50 places to all library district residents who are at least 18, have an email address and no fines.
“There’s lots of good, fun stuff available,” Library Director Tom Lawrence said.
Trevor Zoo at Millbrook School, Millbrook, NY, about 23 miles from Poughkeepsie. Admits two adults and dependent children.Families can book up to two passes for the same day to combine visits to places near each other. Passes are available for local places as well as getaway locations such as the Adirondacks, Albany, Berkshires, Danbury, New York City and more. Some of the passes include:

FDR Presidential Library and Museum, Hyde Park. Free admission for four adults, children under 15 admitted free.
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, New York, about 80 miles from Poughkeepsie. Free admission for two adults and two children plus half-price for additional adults and children.
FASNY Museum of Firefighting, Hudson, NY, about 44 miles from Poughkeepsie. Free admission for two adults and two children.
New York State Parks Empire Pass, valid at many state parks. Valid for passholder and occupants in one vehicle.
With all offers, families are encouraged to check the requirements as many facilities may be closed, require advance registration and timed arrivals/departures.
