Welcome to P.A.C.E Academy! We are incredibly excited to begin our 2018/19 academic school year. This promises to be a year filled with opportunities for all of our students as we strive to find ways that we can be even better than we have been before! We embark on this journey with a pledge to you, our students and parents, that this will be a year of engaging, meaningful and rigorous work in our classrooms, combined with special events and activities. During the school year, we will continue to build upon and to refine our proven foundation of good work, tradition, and continued excellence in education.
Mr. Joseph Mazzetti - Principal
Mr. Mazzetti has been employed as an administrator in the Poughkeepsie City School District since 2006. He became the Interim Principal of P.A.C.E Academy in 2016. Mr. Mazzetti was a Social Studies teacher prior to becoming an administrator. He possess the following degrees: Concentration in Educational Administration from NY State University of New York at New Paltz, Master of Arts from Marist College, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from NY State University of New York at New Paltz, and an Associates of Applied Science from Hudson Valley Community College.
Mr. Mazzetti has a natural enthusiasm for helping students and staff to expand their 21st century horizons. His goal as principal at P.A.C.E Academy is to inspire and motivate students and teachers with consensus, as well as to develop a positive sense of community. Mr. Mazzetti is committed to academic excellence for all students.
Mr. Robert Wood – Assistant Principal
Mr. Wood is the Assistant Principal of P.A.C.E Academy. He possesses a wealth of administrative experience prior to coming to Poughkeepsie City School District.
Mr. Wood holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from Stony Brook University, Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Masters of Educational Administration and Planning from the University of Vermont.
He believes in the potential of every student and in utilizing various modalities to meet student goals. His goal this year is to help each student to strive to become their personal best.
